Hazel Henderson (1933 - 2022) was a world-renowned futurist, evolutionary economist, a worldwide syndicated columnist, consultant on sustainable development, and an inspiration to millions of economists, investment advisors, politicians and ecologists about ethical markets, a love-based economy, and Golden Rule societies.

She spent sixty years building one of the most far-reaching bodies of work in modern economic thought. Nine books — including the Axiom and Nautilus award-winning Ethical Markets: Growing the Green Economy. A globally syndicated column published in 27 languages across more than 200 newspapers. The Emmy-nominated Ethical Markets television series on PBS. The Green Transition Scoreboard®, which tracked over $10 trillion in private investments in the green economy. Planetary Citizenship, co-authored with Buddhist leader Daisaku Ikeda. Contributions to more than 250 academic journals. And the Hazel Henderson and Alan F. Kay Library — 6,000 volumes on sustainable development, systems thinking, and the economics of life, now housed at the Center that bears her name.
