The Hazel Henderson Center at 10 Carrera Street, designated by Hazel as “A Birthplace of the Growing Green Economy and the Transforming Finance Movement,” is now a permanent Center, zoned for its historical uses by the City of St. Augustine, Florida, for advancing knowledge and innovation for an ethical and green economy.

Our Past, Present, and Future

1995 – 2022: History was made

For more than 30 years, Hazel Henderson, Alan Kay, and Ethical Markets Media, LLC (B Corporation) have operated from St. Augustine, Florida. Their groundbreaking meetings, initiatives, and visitors helped define the Green Economy and Transforming Finance movements.


Since 2023: Stability and Progress

  • Hazel Henderson’s Trustees have renovated the Center to accommodate meetings, classes, and Residencies as well as secured new zoning.

  • Classes, Workshops, Residencies, and convenings have continued Hazel’s legacy and those of the founders of the Green Economy and Transforming Finance Movement.

  • Advisors have played an invaluable role in shaping this phase of growth.
